A “magic” herb, Carissa Edulis, that drew thousands of people to a remote Loliondo village in Tanzania was identified by Kenyan scientists a few years ago as a cure for a drug-resistant strain of a sexually transmitted disease, gonorrhoea. This herb also is believed to cure many other diseases besides gonorrhoea. The Kamba refer to as mukawa or mutote and use it for chest pains, while the Nandi boil the leaves and bark to treat breast cancer, headache and chest pains.
Researchers discovered the plant could be used for the treatment of the herpes virus. Led by Dr Festus M Tolo of the Kenya Medical Research Institute (Kemri), the team from the University of Nairobi and the National Museums of Kenya found the herb could provide an alternative remedy for herpes infections.
“An extract preparation from the roots of Carissa edulis, a medicinal plant locally growing in Kenya, has exhibited remarkable anti-herpes virus activity for both wild type and drug resistant strains,” they reported in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology.

The Pepsi company could help a professor find a herpes cure.
Professor David C. Bloom in the department of molecular genetics and microbiology, is hoping to win a $50,000 grant to fund a treatment for herpes in the Pepsi Refresh Project .
Bloom and his team invented a new ribozyme therapy that could be used to treat herpes infections resistant to conventional drug treatments. Ribozyme, a molecule in genetic material, is intended to make the virus unable to infect and be transmitted to others.
About a million new cases of herpes occur annually. If Bloom succeeds, he would be able to stop the recurrence of herpes and fund human clinical trials for the herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1).
“Our project is at a critical phase right now,” Bloom said. “We have exciting data that shows our therapy can block the HSV infection in vivo, but we need additional data on the ability of this treatment to block recurrent disease.”

A feeling of being helpless can occur when you experience a herpes episode. You may feel there is not much you can do but apply the prescription salve and wait for the outbreak to run it’s course. The feeling of not being in control of your own body is disturbing for most people. The topical prescription medications require multiple applications and the healing process can seem to take forever.
I have tried many different ways of combating herpes because I have had it for so many years. My first herpes outbreaks were at a time when general practitioner doctors apparently didn’t know much about herpes because I was given antibiotics. Antibiotics are useless against the herpes virus.
When I finally went to a dermatologist he knew about herpes and had various treatments for it. He prescribed a chloroform and alcohol solution and it worked quite well. I would apply it multiple times to the outbreak and the chloroform killed the herpes and the outbreaks became less severe and less frequent. The chloroform was a bit rough on the skin, being a protein solvent but it worked.
It was many years go when I used the alcohol and chloroform treatment. Today there is a better solution, and one that I feel is superior to the current prescription medications today, such as Acyclovir. It is called Dynamiclear and it is something that I want to share with people that suffer from herpes outbreaks. For me, it has worked better than anything I have tried to this date and it is also the easiest to use. It is applied only once during an outbreak instead of multiple times. It also destroys the herpes virus on contact when applied to an open herpes lesion with a q-tip. The lesion almost instantly scabs over and the healing process starts. It is really quite remarkable.
Remember: There is no cure for herpes because some virus particles always remain. But you can gain a great deal of control over your outbreaks by healthy living and with the help of this natural product, Dynamiclear. Please give it a try. The Dynamiclear website does offer a guarantee if you are not satisfied. I kept my bottle because I am very pleased with the product.

Zovirax, Acyclovir, Valtrex and Famvir are doctor prescribed drugs that are helpful for some people. These drugs can either be taken everday as a “suppressant” or only when an outbreak occurs. This is referred to as “episodic”. These drugs do have possible side-effects and can be very costly.
Dynamiclear is an antiseptic sulphate based solution which contains copper as a trace metal in an aqueous herbal base. It is applied topically to the site of an active lesion only once during the outbreak, instead of multiple times as you do with prescription salves.
The Dynamiclear formulation includes St. John’s Wort, an herb known as Hypericum perforatum. St. John’s Wort has been used to treat wounds and infections for many years and has been shown to be effective against viral particles.
Clinical studies have found that Hypericum extract was effective in reducing the frequency and severity of recurrent episodes of herpes labialis and herpes genitalis. Hypericum perforatum has potent antiviral and antibacterial properties which are beneficial in the treatment of the herpes virus.
Sulfur is a main ingredient in Dynamiclear. Sulfer is the basis of the modern antibiotic and an age-old remedy used against infections and to help the recovery of wounds. This sulfate molecule is an important component of the Dynamiclear solution.
Dynamiclear penetrates the viral membrane, causing the destruction of the virus on contact. When I used Dynamiclear for the first time I was surprised at the speed and effectiveness. A scab formed almost instantly, the healing begins, and the episode quickly ended.
