Can you get infected with herpes simplex virus from a toilet seat? Not likely. Inanimate objects, such as soap, towels, clothing, bed sheets, toilet seats, and spa surfaces are highly unlikely to spread herpes because the genital herpes virus cannot live very long outside of the body. Herpes is not spread through vaginal fluids, blood or semen, or like a flu virus that you can get through the air. Herpes is generally spread by direct contact.

I have herpes and I use Dynamiclear, a nonprescription, over-the-counter medication for treating herpes outbreaks. I’ve used prescription Acyclovir and nonprescription Abreva on herpes lesions and Dynamiclear works better than anything else. This is my testimonial to how great dynamiclear works in treating herpes simplex outbreaks.
When you apply Dynamiclear to an open lesion, it stings a bit, then, almost instantly, a scab forms and the healing begins. You apply Dynamiclear only once during an outbreak, not multiple times like you do with Acyclovir. So Dynamiclear is not only cheaper than Acyclovir, it is easier to use.
When Dynamiclear comes in contact with herpes virus particles, it kills them. No, it isn’t a cure because some of the virus always escapes, but your outbreaks will diminish in intensity and frequency - and Dynamiclear is guaranteed!

I know it sounds like a contradiction to say that herpes can’t be cured but you can kill it. And this is a factual statement despite the seeming contradiction. If you become infected with herpes you have it for life. Usually the first outbreaks are the worst, but after time your body starts building up a defense against the virus and the outbreaks become weaker and less frequent. Many years ago when I became infected it seemed I was having outbreaks one after another, and it took me a while to gain some control over the outbreaks.
Back then, there were no antiviral creams like Acyclovir, and it seemed my doctor were guessing as to what to do. I didn’t get any real help until I went to a dermatologist who knew what it was and knew the latest (though primitive by today’s standards) treatments. I used a prescription mixture of chloroform and alcohol to kill the herpes virus and stop the outbreaks. It worked pretty well but you needed multiple applications and it was a bit harsh since it was a protein solvent.
But herpes can’t be cured. Some of the virus remains and can return to erupt into lesions again. Some people are fortunate and aren’t bothered by the virus again, but for many it does return again and again. The good thing is that today there are antiviral medications that work well. When mine returns I use a nonprescription medication called Dynamiclear that kills the herpes on contact with one application, a scab appears almost instantly and healing begins. Since it destroys the virus outbreaks become fewer and farther between. It works better than anything I’ve tried and I highly recommend it.

Cold sores or fever blisters are caused by the herpes simplex virus and are usually easy to identify.
There is another condition which can cause ulcers inside the mouth known as Canker sores. Canker sores are not a form of herpes but they are often confused and mistaken for cold sores.
Canker sores are ulcerations, especially of the lip or oral mucosa and can be caused by acute stress, trauma to the area in your mouth, allergies, or by a reaction to a particular bacteria.
Canker sores are not considered to be contagious. Cold sores on the other hand are a type of herpes simplex virus and can be very contagious.
If you are experiencing ulcerations on or inside of your mouth please visit your doctor for a professional diagnosis. These two conditions can appear very similar and should not be self-diagnosed. Remember, cold sores are a form of the herpes simplex virus and are very contagious while canker sores are not contagious. You can see why it is important to get a diagnoses.
There are many products available to treat cold sores. Dynamiclear and Zovirax are two of the most effective topically applied products. Dynamiclear is nonprescription.
