Electric Shavers
Which Electric Shaver is the Best?
The best electric shaver is the one that works best for
you. I use a Norelco. It does a great job on my tough beard, but
your hair and skin characteristics might be better served by another
brand or a different model within the same brand. Today there are
so many features to choose from. Wet or dry electric shavers, rotary
blades or foils. Foils theoretically offer a closer shave, but have
trouble cutting longer hairs. Rotary shavers can cut long hairs
and they're easier to maneuver around difficult areas. Rotary shavers
are stronger than foils, but require more work to keep them clean.
The bottom line is there is no rule, just judge by the results.
People often choose their shavers because they prefer a certain
brand. Judge your shave by looking at how close and how smooth your
shave is and if your electric shaver causes skin irritation.
Shaving Closeness
Shave against the grain by applying a little pressure. Additional
pressure only results in wearing out the shavers' heads.
Electric Shavers And Sensitive Skin
If you suffer from razor bumps use any one of the rotary razors with
3 heads. Use Ingrown Hair Treatment. Razor burn is often caused by
using too much pressure. To reduce razor burn:
(1) Apply razor-burn pre-shave lotion
(2) Shave sensitive facial areas first
(3) Apply less pressure |
