Yahoo Sucks
January 13, 2008 – 9:28 amI really hate Yahoo. The hypocrasy, the terrible grasping for power over the internet. I hated it when Yahoo bought up popular search engines like Alta Vista and All the Web. What possible benefit to internet users was this power grab? The positive development of new search engine technologies by these companies were replaced with Yahoo clones and mediocre search results.
Don’t use Yahoo services. Don’t support Yahoo advertisers. The Yahoo strategy is to buy up the World Wide Web so you are forced into using their services. And after they take over those services Yahoo turns them into their vision of what they think you want. And Yahoo is blind. It will, in time, bite them in the ass.
Yahoo ruins the internet experience.

I don’t believe Yahoo is contributing to internet culture or technology in a positive way when they buy up search engines. I really liked alltheweb.com. It was an html compliant search engine and they truly provided an important niche in search engine technology. Now it is a stupid Yahoo clone with no reason to exist, as is Alta Vista. What good are all these Yahoo clones? It contributes nothing for the information searcher.
